Texoft, Inc. was founded in 1988, primarily as a financial applications software development house. Since that time, the computing industry has experienced a great number of changes. Although Texoft has remained a relatively small shop, the technological advances now available to us have allowed us to develop and maintain a wide array of software products, as well as various hardware and networking environments.

As Texoft developed, it became apparent to us that simply providing quality software was not the solution to our clients’ needs. Training, both in the use of the software and in the application of the software to the client’s existing business environment would be essential. At Texoft, we believe that software is simply a tool which, in order to be considered fully operational, must integrate seamlessly with the environment in which it is being utilized. Our ability to marry our software with the client’s existing business practices -- including paper flow analysis and resource utilization consulting -- ensures a successful transition, either from a non-automated environment, a limited automated environment, or from an existing software package. And speaking of existing software packages, Texoft also provides data conversion services, saving hours of data re-entry and verification. Over the years, we have developed a number of tools that allow us to take the client’s existing data and perform the conversions necessary to drastically reduce or altogether eliminate the need for redundant data entry. Our view at Texoft is that any information that was keyed in or generated once should never have to be keyed in or generated again.

Our affiliations with companies such as Drexel Management and Total Computing Solutions, as well as our use of Relational Database Management Systems such as Raining Data® and IBM UniData® allow us to offer database design, training, and maintenance services which are second to none. Texoft selected these database products for a number of reasons: ease of programming, ease of database design and modification and, most importantly, ease of data retrieval. We felt that any information generated through the use of the Texoft Software Suites should be readily available to appropriate clerical and management personnel, right at their fingertips, as soon as it is generated. After all, data is not really information unless it can be accessed and utilized to its utmost potential. Texoft is committed to providing software that allows the client not only to perform day-to-day tasks, but also to create real-time information that can result in increased efficiency and higher profitability.
